adminbaberuth Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 One of the toughest positions on the field. Besides range, arm and defensive skills needed to play this spot, who do you want fielding that ground ball with 2 outs and winning run at 3rd?
Guest Ranger83 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 No brainer!Trevin Sonnier-NederlandAll day, every day and twice on Sunday.
rounder17 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Wayne Stanley is definetly one of the best "defensive" short stops in the area.
eagleswoodville#1 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 That briers kid from Woodville was supposed to be a salty player. Not saying he's the best. But he made several great plays in tonights game vs center.

BaseBow Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011
Drake Roberts (Brenham)
Drake and Trevin have some history ...Both went to Braves work out..Both in Area Code together and Both at Brenham P.G...Both great short stops...and both might be on second base at the next level ;) The throw across times are pretty close to the same...Trevin has the edge in the 60...But Drake does swing it pretty well...I would take either on my team.
RedBarn Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Would take Sonnier here although I believe both he and Roberts may be destined to be 2B at next level. Stone from PNG is pretty good player as is kid from LCM (whose name escapes me). Smith @ BC is decent SS although his defense is behind his offense. He is a 2B at next level. He swings it very well, tho....
Chorizo_11 Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Hands down t.sonnier is the best in setx,,,he does it all,,,carried the football team and now the baseball team will ride his coat tail,,,
