He lead Nederland to State in 95. Drafted in the 1st round out of Lamar in 99.For old timers they remember the district during those years with the amount pitching. If you were a hitter during those years of 95-98, you had to face 3 first rounders and other draftees. You might get John Patterson (WOS) tuesday, Beau Hale (LCM) friday, Brian Sanches (Ned) tuesday and friday Jeff Moye (Lumberton)All Pro pitchers.

Floyd beat Beau Hale 1-0 as a sophmore in the Regional Final at Lamar in one of the best games you could ever watch.The amount of scouts at games in those days was ridiculous.
