Then you can look back and say, "at least we lost to the best team in the state."

Nederland should be proud to make as it far the semifinals of the region. I just didnt want them to win state
GrayDog Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 I was really amazed last night when the Ball coach put #2 back in the game at the end just to get a slam on a team they already had beat! Thought he should have been resting for the next game and instead took a really hard foul... from that perspective, doesn't surprise me they got out coached tonight...

Coach English pulled his starters a five minutes before the Ball coach did. It appeared that he just wanted to run up the score, and for that reason, I understand other people wanting them to lose. Just what was he trying to accomplish?

I'm shocked after seeing them play several times that they lost at this point in the playoffs--thought and hoped they would win it all! What's your explanation? I said once underestimating or rather taking the LM cougars lightly was a huge mistake and they proved it tonight.

Furthermore, you can't blame the kid for wanting to dunk on a breakaway. How about you question the kid who pushed him in the back? I understand and somewhat commend the toughness of not wanting to get dunked on, but in a twenty point game you don't risk injuring someone.

[/quote]Temple had PLENTY of players to spread the floor and 'ice' the 20 pt lead-Is that really your interpretation?? The Nederland kids were tired of being pushed and slapped without getting calls. There is only so much one can take of that w/o getting frustrated. There was absolutely NO reason for him to be put back in the game except to show off.
