Doesn't matter what your personal reasons are, you should want the team who beat you to go all the way. Then you can look back and say, "at least we lost to the best team in the state."

Looking back, we did lose to a great 4A team in G-ball who would have beaten a lot of teams in 4A. Nederland should be proud to make as it far the semifinals of the region. I just didnt want them to win state

I was really amazed last night when the Ball coach put #2 back in the game at the end just to get a slam on a team they already had beat! Thought he should have been resting for the next game and instead took a really hard foul... from that perspective, doesn't surprise me they got out coached tonight...

It was rather class-less of the Ball coach to leave his starters in for so long. Coach English pulled his starters a five minutes before the Ball coach did. It appeared that he just wanted to run up the score, and for that reason, I understand other people wanting them to lose. Just what was he trying to accomplish?

OK, I really enjoyed watching Petteway and Evans play again and think they have excellent basketball futures...  I'm shocked after seeing them play several times that they lost at this point in the playoffs--thought and hoped they would win it all! What's your explanation? I'm not sore about losing to them cause I knew it was a near impossible feat for Nederland to beat them...

Temple put him back in to spread the floor and help ice the game.  It's not as if they stayed in the full court run and jump.  Furthermore, you can't blame the kid for wanting to dunk on a breakaway.  How about you question the kid who pushed him in the back?  I understand and somewhat commend the toughness of not wanting to get dunked on, but in a twenty point game you don't risk injuring someone.

Temple had PLENTY of players to spread the floor and 'ice' the 20 pt lead-Is that really your interpretation?? The Nederland kids were tired of being pushed and slapped without getting calls. There is only so much one can take of that w/o getting frustrated. There was absolutely NO reason for him to be put back in the game except to show off.
