Why do you say that?
[/quote]he single-handily DESTROYED Kentucky bball until Coach Cal took over. he shouldnt have ever been hired by Kentucky. He has a lot of dirt on him, and alot of it was kinda swept under the rug if you know what i mean.

All indications are that he has turned over a new leaf.  And Tubby Smith did a pretty good job of wrecking Kentucky basketball.

On another note - Calipari has a lil bit of dirt surrounding him too.

That is a great hire by TT.  He is a good basketball coach, and should bring some excitement back to Lubbock that has been gone since Bobby Knight left.

As long as you can keep him out of the bars you should be ok.  I've knocked a few cold ones back with him when I was in College Station.  I had friends that were cops there and I know for a fact a few times he was pulled over and followed home.  If he can keep his drinking under control he will do a great job, and make TT relevant in Basketball again.

Apparenty he has agreed to a five year term - but I get the sarcasm!

Good Hire, but ugly basketball. Will win some games but not really pretty to watch. Does Lubbock have an indoor football team; if so this may hurt their attendance? Seriously his teams tend to resemble football teams, but they do win.

Yall are pretty hard on him, geez no one is perfect yes he likes to drink, so what, he can coach lights out....Not all of you were at Kentucky and see what he was putting up with.. Now I'm sure all you fine Christian young men would ever drink. I loved it when he was at A&M he was easy to talk to, and he hardly ever met a stranger. He also cares a lot about his kids that play for him..

Yes. But I unlike him don't drink to the point of being an alcoholic. Also when I do drink I don't drive! As a head coach at a D1 level responsible for 15 college students you have to be better than that.
