BAKERSFIELD, Calif – The Bakersfield Condors Professional Hockey Club announced today they have acquired Kevin Asselin from the Texas Wildcatters.

Asselin, a 6-foot right wing, was acquired from Texas for future considerations. He has only played in one game this season with Texas and recorded no goals or assists and two penalty minutes.

“Asselin is a great pick up,†said Condors Head Coach, Marty Raymond. “We lost Bolduc and needed some fire power. Asselin can play in front of the net and is always looking to score. He will be a great addition to this team.â€

The Acton Vale, Pq native’s previous playing experience was in the QMJHL where he played five years for the Cape Brenton Screaming Eagles. Last season he recorded career highs of 44 goals and 44 assists in 67 games played.

To make room for Asselin, the Condors released center Nicklas Lindberg. Lindberg played in eight games for the Condors this year tallying two goals and three assists.
