WOSgrad Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Hmmm....I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of the list that was given to the Enterprise...I was contacted last night by one of the coaches on the list who never sent in an application or a resume for the job.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Wait a minute! A last minute dash from a coach whose name wasn't listed...hmmmm?

He has taken a program that was treading water a few years ago and transformed the Pirates into a state ranked program. He has done it with discipline and hard work. His teams are always prepared and well coached. You have to beat them, they will not beat themselves. They're trip tho Austin and the State Tournament 2 years ago is just one example of his ability to lead a program. And this year, after being hit hard by graduation, he gets the Pirates into the Regional Quarterfinals. I have never spoken to anyone who has anything bad to say about Coach Isaacs. He is fine coach and a better person. My 2 cents.[/quote]Well said about Coach Isaacs!!! We are not ready for him to go so I am hoping they choose one of the others. If he leaves us we will miss his Christian influence, his guidance, and the many other things he has brought to ALL our students Boys and Girls alike. Thanks Coach for all you have done!!!

bobbymcgee Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Hamshire-Fannett is holding a press conference Tuesday to announce they are hiring Steve Roccaforte. That is why he hasn't landed anywhere else as an asst. yet. He is ready to take this job.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 That's after Pat Knight accepted LAmar's offer.

Wildcatter Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 I wonder how a 1 a coach will do since they are used to having their kids all year round vs at a 3a?

Wildcatter Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 meant to say would do, just think it could be a different atmosphere with other sports involved

In 3a and up you have a lot of kids that only play one maybe 2 sports. And in the smaller schools most of the best players play all the sports.

I was told that the announcement was to have been last Friday, now it's on hold. They have made an offer but according to my source, some "things" have come up. ;)
dav-joel Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 ....some "things" have come up. hmmmmOne possibility is the prospect talked to the outgoing coachand other employees and found out the amount of interference and "suggestions" from both expert parents and old "so and so".
