Bridge City is getting absolutely hammered by the blue! Just terrible!! The guy behind the plate is squeezing both sides, Scoggins and Zoch have no idea where the zone is at!
[/quote]

so if the umpire is squeezing both pitchers how is it bridge city is the only one getting hammered...oh and i am from bridge city

Great game so far. Silsbee's 2nd baseman has made 2 great plays. Someone post his name.

In the top of the 7th Mitchell Hubbard blasts a 2 run homer to tighten the Silsbee lead to 8-6.

Lance Brown is coming in to pitch for Silsbee with one out in the Top of the 7th.

I agree that the home plate ump was very tight with his strike zone for both teams, did not favor any pitcher. The base ump missed a couple.

But, the better team won. ;)

The double play in the first Silsbee turned was one of the calls the guy in the field missed, shortstop never had the ball and don't tell me it was on the transfer either. Blown call #1 and it just got worse after that. Same 2 guys butchered the JV game.

Silsbee did earn the W tonite with some very timely hitting, congrats to them. Great atmosphere at the park and a very enjoyable evening watching some good baseball. As far as "best team won tonite ;)" that's still up for debate. Can't wait for the next one. I am now patiently waiting for the inevitable spin on this opinion from our resident "homer".

So you could see the pitches from your table????  I don't think the home plate Ump knew how to call a left handed pitcher, even when Brown came in. I don't even know how many the base ump missed I stopped counting???

YEP, He probably missed every curve threw..... and I was sitting right behind him... I don't think any pitcher knew what he wanted.
