Silsbee 2A?????

Was told by an administrator last night that Silsbee's current enrollment is 769. That's down from the 843 turned in for realignment in Oct. '09.

This pace, Silsbee could be 2A in 6 years.  ;) ;D

Wasn't looking to set up. Was just alarmed at the rate of the falling enrollment.

Not concerned at all with state titles in this regard.

After careful analysis and after consulting with several experts in the basketball area, I can truthfully and accurately tell you what it means.  It means that in the last 11 games, Silsbee has been the better team 8 times.  And I don't want anyone asking for my secret as to how I came to this complicated conclusion.

Silsbee should have been 3A for the last 20yrs and not 4A! If they got to 2A I would expect for most kids and parents to move further into Beaumont. Population would really suffer. The economy in Silsbee is down at its worst and I dont see change coming soon.

Yes, Silsbee has beat HJ 8 out of 11, but the last 5 years, HJ has gone farther than Silsbee in the play-offs 3 out of 5 (including that time they "brought home the gold".
