Warren @ Buna predictions

Recommended Posts

Should be another great 24-2A showdown.  If your team has the night off, travel on over to Buna to see a good one.  Warren has really stepped up since the loss to Buna a few weeks back and Buna seems to have finally got the wheels back on the bus.  Go COUGARS!!!

I hate to say I told ya not to overlook the Warriors so I won't.The first game was nearly dead even thru 6,Warren stranded a ton of runners and made a few costly errors late. This should be a dandy.Lets go Warriors.

So in 5 games, the Warriors have become too deep, too strong for Buna?  Buna did beat them 2 1/2 weeks ago 6-1.  How soon we forget.  No doubt they are good, best we've seen coming out of Warren in a number of years, but dominant, not sure about that.  Either way, should be a good one, GO COUGARS!

Deep? Well, lets just say most of Warren's bench could start for Buna or anyone else in this district. All I can say is rest Clark well. He is all that stands between Buna and a 10 run rule. But, go ahead, overlook Warren, like Buna did Deweyville, or Kountze. Count on "tradition" to put runs on the board. Then wonder what happened when it is all over. It will be a good game, hard fought, most regime changes are. A new tradition start Friday!! GO WARRIORS!!!

Your bench could start for who?  Noone is overlooking anybody at this point, trust me.  All I want to know is why in 5 games have ya'll become so dominant?  What has changed over the last few weeks?  Just curious...please explain...GO COUGARS!

I know they have some real depth on Varsity on the bench, but may have been exaggerating a tad. I do however agree that there is a 'changing of the guard' coming. It may not happen in this game, but it is coming.

Watch and see. I don't put a lot of faith in old scores. Like, Deweyville 6 -  Buna 3 or, Kountze 3 - Buna 2. Teams the Warriors, well, just plain beat. I look forward to a good close game, if you can keep Clark on the mound (He really is good). Work him fast, keep his pitch count down, you'll stay in the game. Just trying to help. GO Warriors!!!

Wow shows what happens when a par team wins a few district games. Yooo... what about the Big Sandy loss Warren. Anyway I dnt wanna start bashing today. If there is a change in rulers it wont last long. Buna's 8th grade class is the real deal. Like Round Rock potential. Somethin Warren has never seen except the Buna team that beat them a few years ago that ran after throwing a no no in warren. ;D

Oh, my!! Seems the banty roosters are out, crowing and goin'. This should be the premier match up of the season. plenty on the line. Two quality teams. Two teams with lots of class. This game should mean alot to who ever wins, because there will be no doubt, they earned it. Good luck to everyone. Go Warriors!

I agree, but I think it is the second game of the year for the district season, the game Friday night in Anahuac was pretty big with Buna getting the win over the Panthers.  Going into that game, if AP wins, they would have been in control of their own destiny, of course who saw them losing to EC on Tuesday night.  No doubt, Buna/Warren 2 will be a great contest.  And BReak-em, bout time you woke up and got into this discussion.

We did beat Buna but, Warren make no mistake in assuming that you will walk away with a win...the only way that will happen is if buna makes errors...just Because they lost 2 games doesnt mean that this team is legit...Good Luck to both Teams but i say Buna has this one 5-1

Buna slight pitching edge? Warren with defensive edge? Anyone on warrens bench being able to start for buna? Man...just when i thought i had heard it all. Buna has pitching edge easy. Both Clark's and Walden are better than anyone warren has. Buna usually always has the best defense in this district, but yes has been a little shaky at times this year.  Coug bats have been struggling and warren can hit the ball from what I hear. As long as Clark keeps walks down and we scratch up a few runs, Buna should continue the quest for #5.

Warren was my darkhorse for this district from the get go. Very classy program, and have much improved over the past few years. I wish them well and would love to see them succeed.  Just not against my cougs.  ;D

The time for bragging and chest pounding is after the season when you've actually won it....keep it classy guys...
AMEN !!!! If the Warriors make the playoffs I think that would be a very successful season.I don't think anyone on this board expects them to take down the champs but it shows they are headed in the right direction. They have a good mixture of young kids and some solid seniors to keep em in line. They finally have a good young coach and have kept him in place long enough to start building a program.Don't be mislead by the score in the first game, it was extremely close until a few errors late in the game and this one will be as well.Let's throw out the first pitch and watch a good clean ballgame.
