Guest baseball25 Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 those 5 losses against RPI teams over 100 are RPI killers!!!!!
ForeverADog Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Yes. Take those last 2 losses to TSU and Akron away and our rpi jumps. We have a pretty good resume. Would look a lot better if we win this series this weekend!
Guest baseball25 Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 resume is ok, its not pretty good lol, we have some pretty bad losses if you don't lose those games then its a pretty good resume, a pretty good resume is Texas st. and South ea la for southland teams.http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2011/schedule/Southeastern-Louisianahttp://warrennolan.com/baseball/2011/schedule/Texas-Statehere is a good website to show what lamar needs to do to finish in the top 50 of rpihttp://boydsworld.com/baseball/rpi/rpineeds.html
TradinUp BH Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 LU either wins the Southland Tourney or they stay home, period! Maybe if SELA and TX ST are at the top at the end of the year the Southland gets two in, but I doubt it.
Guest baseball25 Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 if texas st finishes with a RPI in the top 35, and wins regular season conference and then someone else wins the tourney they will get 2 in...
geezer Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 tell that to at least three teams that should have gone to the NCAA Tourney before the last three of eleven from the Big East.
epg2793 Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 It all depends on the depth of our pitching. The starting pitcher injuries hurt but I still like this team. Guys like Gilligan, Trimm, Hamaker and Tromley are guys I see possible playing a big role down the stretch.

They should be getting at least 2 teams into the tourney every year.
geezer Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Should is the key word, but the reality is today the NCAA Tourneys are about money. The SLC doesn't represent enough fan base and even in baseball they want full stadiums. That's why the same schools host the regionals every year. You will get one or two SEC teams in that probably shouldn't before you get two SLC teams in.
