if texas st finishes with a RPI in the top 35, and wins regular season conference and then someone else wins the tourney they will get 2 in...

It all depends on the depth of our pitching. The starting pitcher injuries hurt but I still like this team. Guys like Gilligan, Trimm, Hamaker and Tromley are guys I see possible playing a big role down the stretch.

A few years ago, TSU won the regular season, and SHSU won the tourney, both teams went into the NCAA tourneys.

The SLC is a top 10 conference in baseball.  They should be getting at least 2 teams into the tourney every year.

Should is the key word, but the reality is today the NCAA Tourneys are about money.  The SLC doesn't represent enough fan base and even in baseball they want full stadiums.  That's why the same schools host the regionals every year.  You will get one or two SEC teams in that probably shouldn't before you get two SLC teams in.
