Funny thing is...EVRYONE sees that it should be Thompson but the comitee. I dont understand??

Coach young is a great guy and knows some of the WOS tradition, but to compare him to Thompson, no way better for WOS. Thompson should get this job, no discussion

Adrian Peterson will do that for a lot of high school teams.

And WO-S did not go far while he was gone.  I guess this point would be appropriate to point out that his absence from the WO-S staff from 2001-2003 coincided with the longest Mustang playoff drought since the early 1980's.

I can assure you, the discipline did not leave Palestine when he left.  Coach T started the ball rolling at PHS in the right direction and we were able to pick it up.  Of course AD helped a lot in that effort.  Even though I am an LC-M alum, I have always respected and wished the best for the Mustangs and do in this situation as well.  A great molder of young men has left and there are plenty on the staff that can do what needs to be done.  Most think of Coach T as their coaching mentor.  To me, it is a no-brainer but, I am not making this decision.

A couple of players off of Thompson defenses managed to make their way into the NFL as well(both first round picks), one of them even won a couple of Super Bowl rings.

So I guess he mentors pretty well.

By that you mean let them do whatever they want? I remember LCM doing pretty good with a couple players that coach T wouldn't deal with in WO-S.
