Woodville had one bad inning. Much better game than the final indicated. Blake Hunter for the Eagles showed us some stuff we've been waiting for from him all year long. A couple costly errors was the difference in 1 and 7 runs in the third for Woodville.

Woodville is 13-13 overall I think and 5-4 in district. Since Hemphill Got beat last night, they have to beat Hemphill in order to tie with Hemphill for third. I'm guessing there will be a playoff if that happens.

Alex Phillips the sophomore started and was consistently from 78-82. Then The Hayley kid came in and was tossing his fastball anywhere from 83-88. Both had nasty breaking stuff though Hayley had less control than the starter.

APs velocity was down. Haley was very wild. Hit two batters and walked three in the last inning to make 14-2 instead of 14-4...CH hit the ball hard pretty much all night. The field is rougher than it has been in years past, so many hard hit balls kicked way up in the air.

And if hemphill loses out, there will be a three way tie between Hemphill, Corrigan and Woodville.

Woodville started out with Hunter on the mound and he pitched very well. He hasn't been able to turn it on all year until this game. He pitched very well. It just happened to come against one of the best teams In the state lol
