roar! Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 yep the lions definitely have a hard row to hoe....let one slip away today, and that didn't help...imma keep the faith though ;D
tvc184 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Like the old saying goes, they each have their fate in their own hands. Win out and they are in.
adminbaberuth Posted April 18, 2011 Author Report Posted April 18, 2011 I'm thinking PNG/Vidor locked for 3rd and 4th.
hitman009 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 what are the records agaist eachother out of these? Vidor, PNG, Livingston? I can see these teams finishing the year with 2-1 or 1-2......also include Lumberton.... they are not out... if they could manage a win against nederland then they have a shot...
Old61Eagle Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Livingston beat PNG twice this year. PNG beat Vidor the one time they played. PNG split with Lumberton. I am not sure how the other teams did against each other.

lefty3162 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Since joining 20/4a Livingston has become a force to be reckoned with.PNG gets third spot Vidor and Livingston fight for fourth.

[/quote]Before tonight, I would've said Livingston had the easiest path. PNG changed that by beating a very good LCM team. Now I agree, PNG has the easiest route.
midcountymadness Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 The UIL gradually made Livingston a force when they went from two, to three, and then to four playoff teams.
PhatMack19 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Vidor at PNG on Thursday will be HUGE! If PNG wins they are most likely in with Central remaining. Vidor would then have to beat Livingston to at worst tie(depending on LCM-Liv outcome) for the last playoff spot with the head to head advantage. If Vidor wins things could get interesting with tie breakers. My head hurts thinking about it. ;) Lots of scoreboard watching over the next week.
adminbaberuth Posted April 20, 2011 Author Report Posted April 20, 2011 If this is wrong someone chime in.20-4 ANo head to head tiebreakers2 teams will be playoff or coaches agree3 teams , tournament with tie breaking rules , fewest runs allowed get the bye.
BIGDOG42 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 I believe that head to head does matter.Back in 07 we were tied with LCM for the 3rd play off spot and didn't get a play in game because they had beat us twice in district. In 08 we had a play in game with Vidor for the 3rd spot because we split the series in district. They may have changed to rules but that is how it use to be.

It is my understanding that it is no longer head to head but a play-in game.

ForeverADog Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 I'm saying with a PNG win, and a LCM loss next week they are tied for second. Which is likely.
