Dove Hunter - The way the HF community has recently treated the dove clan(mammagotjuice in particular) I would not be surprised if the boys want to move to make all happy.  I will tell you this a if mammagotjuice aint happy nobody is gonna be happy.  I doubt the parents will allow the small minded community of HF run out this proud and highly successful family.  Last thing if the used car salesman needs to get involved he will, his son maybe the Bosh in the LBJ/Wade trio. Two and a half men is what the HF team will be known as.

Some are spark plugs and may have less talent, but bring energy to the team when needed. If he's a good coach, he will try and work it out whats best for the team.

Don't you think every coach tries to do what's best for the team.  You say you've never heard of Decello but yet you think that he is just what H-F needs.  I find that interesting.  You are right about if he is a good coach.  He will do what is best for the team even if it means the Dove family ain't happy.

Dove family may not be happy if they can't get those excuse notes from "very qualified trainer" anymore...Decello will do fine if he is allowed to coach and not have parent conferences about why little Johnny is not playing or who will make up the starting five along with "the trio"  :o

I guess you that r not in the know we at HF can field a very competitive team ,and with the addition of the trio would make a State run possible,And with what a coach like Decello seems to  be able to add,like the All mighty Dove says he is just what we need .I have been in this program as a parent for some hard fought years and seen coaches come and go,I see we are not going to be just a academic excellence school.

You all do remember that you are talking about children and a coach you have never met right?  I understand you are trying to give Blue Dove a hard time, but let us not forget it is not all about the wins and losses.  Sounds like HF needs a coach who can build relationships with his players.  Those relationships will turn out hard work, committment, and success, whether it be from wins and losses or the fact that they have become better men.

Let us not forget Wooden, "Success is a peace of mind which is a direct result of self satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming."  If the new coach can achieve that, I will respect him despite what others say, who he has coached before, what parents like him, or if he wins state or even make the playoffs.

I can tell the worst part of this board comes from people who aren't coaches.  Because if you are coaches who actually know the ins and outs of everything in their program, you wouldn't be making comments like I am reading on this and other threads.

Well stated howdy man some stuff you may read on this post is junk and some people may need to get a life.HF has been in need of a change for some time now.we got a good AD and he is making changes to build an athletic program here.as I said I've been here for awhile,finally get coaches that can coach and teach the kids some things and not coaches that we've had in the past being hired just to fill a spot,not allowed to run  the program.

Parents are absolutely part of the program. Family is a big part of any program, especially at the private school level. We have wonderful parents that step in and help when they are needed. Like Woody Hayes said "You win with people."

[/quote]nope! Actually for HF, it was a decent season but could have been better. This is a team sport. My son had no major impact on the varsity season.

[/quote]he played in 12 varsity games, winning 5 and losing 7. Now if we include his freshmen games, he was actually in more wins than losses. ;D  :P  He was advised to stay on 9th grade team but didn't listen to his advisor ;)
