BOHICA5581 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Guess what GABBY only pitched 2. Maybe GABBY vs Martinez..... Also a playoff clinch for CROSBY...
BOHICA5581 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 They still have to come to the cougar lair......................
Stewie Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Think GCM is too deep and strong to be challenged for the district title. My opinion, Jacobs should contribute to U of H immediately upon arrival. Has any of the other GCM kids committed besides Jacobs?

If GCM wins district Czerwonka in my book lands district MVP. What he has done on the mound, and at the plate is pretty impressive. Still do not see any team going undefeated the rest of district, but think GCM has the ball in their court.
IDK. All districts are funny. coaches vote on bias. Last year Gabby was 10-0 and did not get MVP or Def MVP. he got 1st team pitcher. :( :( Merka in football last year was undefeated district champ and gets No supers as well! :o :o. this year gets 2nd team qb! WOW!!Gabby is not only the most feared pitcher in 19 4A but is also batting .411. IMO he is MVP of district

Crosby must have had a mis-print in the local paper reading they were the champs in everything. I also thought KWP went undefeated in distr. I may be wrong, can anyone (not from Crosby confirm).411 is a great avg, but Chance is hitting .500 in dist and from what he has done on the mound, if his team wins district, he should be MVP.Believe it or not but a .411 avg may not get you all-dist in your position, there are some high numbers this year, GCM has 2 hittilgn over .500, another is almost at .500 and BH now has 2 hitting .500. Not taking anything from Jeremy, awesome player, but IMO if GCM wins it Chance is MVP for his pitching and stick.
You make some very valid points. I think(?) agree....because of the talent in 19-4A this year, IMO the MVP should come from the district champ this year. You've got a player or players from Crosby, GCM, and B. Lee that it would be hard to argue against being MVP...Just my 2 cents.
Guest Ranger83 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Not sure of their overall record, but GCM beat KP in their first meeting last year. Finished 12-2. Not sure who else beat them.
MAXIMUS Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Crosby Football 2009-2010 School year - Undefeated District Champs, beat Dayton 27 or 29 to 0Crosby Baseball 2009-2010 School year - Swept the District Champion KP Panthers, KP had to beat GCM in the last game of the year to be District Champs, and they did

Crosby was undefeated champ. beat Dayton 28-0.2009-2010 19-4a baseball standing1st KP 12-2. only losses were to crosby twice2nd Crsoby 11-3. Losses to C.E King, GP, and BH3rd GP 10-4 Loses to Crosby, KP twice and i cant remember other, I think BH.4th GCM and BH.. GCM won tie breaker game to go to playoffsAs for .411 batting avg not getting you a all drist....... .411 puts you in the top 8.... and is the best pitcher in 19-4a....so all disrtict is a no brainer... as for you claim of all these kids hitting over 500, only 3 kids in district are hitting over 500 with 20 ab...Blablabla, Can anyone really take you seriously when you have know idea of the facts????

BOHICA5581 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Why is all the love going to the pitchers. Granted 19-4A has the best pitchers possibly in the State (with Gabby leading the way). Some love needs to go to the offensive side of the discussion. I can name name 4 kids that could take home the hardware:Richards - North Forest (0-4 last night)Jacobs - GCM (2-4, 3b & 2b last night)Larkin - CROSBY (3-5, 2 HR's last night)Hernandez - GP (0-3, HBP last night)

And although both players were good, you had several players on the top 2 teams that were overlooked that were just as deserving if not more. You never know what's going to happen in that meeting with those coaches and all the differing opinions. I think there are always some surprises on the list.

But lets be real, first 2 homeruns of his HS career. Has never been the hitter against the best teams in the district, and is the 2nd best hitter in the outfield on his own team. There are still some games left too play, it will all play out soon. Surprised not to see Hebert on your list since he has a higher avg and fielding percentage. and if you are looking at hitting watch out for your own SS, seems to be coming around with the bat.
