The way it looks no one will know who they are playing until the last district game is played.  There should be some great pitching match ups in the first round.  We will see who wants that 1 game playoff and roll the dice.

EXACTLY! hit the nail on the head. 19-4a is still so close with GCM still having BH REL and Crosby to play. BH has GCM and Crosby left. and Crosby has GCM and BH. REL has GCM... so as the look of it REL is in the better situation as of games coming up. going to be a tight race! Good luck

The two districts were equally matched.
BH is very young and took a veteran Nederland team to the 7th inning of Game 3. That experiecne will be very valuable next year.
Crosby just did not have enough pitching against a potent PNG line-up. Their horse just ran out of gas.
GCM held off a very scrappy Pirate team. GCM's youth and play-off inexperience was tested, but the Patriots survived to fight another day. (Not bad for Year 3)
rel cast their lot and it was just not in the cards.

Some interesting stats:

I looked back at the 20-4A history thread and 20-4A is about .800 in the bi district round.

Of the 10 bi district round losses:
5 were by Vidor
4 were by PNG
1 by WOS

It looks as if the bulldogs and bears are batting a thousand in that round as far as I can tell. Pretty impressive stat.

Minuses-

1.  Kids passionate about the game come to season's end...
2.  People we don't get to discuss baseball alot with from 19-4A, like Year of he Pat, and GeeGanderDad, we'll have to wait till next season to talk to...sometimes... ;D

Hawkeye....While you are right about PNG's 4 first round loses it is a bit misleading:
The 4 loses cover a span of 18 years dating back to 1994. PNG has advanced to the 2nd round 12 times during that span. So they are 12 - 4.
PNG also has the longest current streak during of making the playoffs 15 straight years with LCM next at 9.

Vidor on the other hand didn't reach the playoffs till 2007 and are 0 - 4 in advancing. Not meaning to diminish Vidors success, just putting it into perspective.

You are right PNG is 12-4.

Not misleading though.

Nederland and LCM are a combined 28-0.

And Vidor has now lost 5 times in a row in the first round,  BUT!  You have to be in the playoffs five times in a row to get knocked out fives times.  So good job to the pirates.
