Guest Ranger83 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Thursday, April 21 is National High Five Day (NH5D), (every third Thursday in April) a day to give a hand in the air salute to another, EVEN if you don't know them!NH5D began at the University of Virginia in 2002 when three friends decided to form their own holiday. Late the next day when the three friends woke up, they remembered they'd decided to form their own holiday and decided to actually do it!The idea was simple, that you could better someone's day by going into your community and offering even strangers high fives. The holiday has evolved to the point that a scholarship has been set up to help a deserving student in the spirit of high fiving!http://nationalhighfiveproject.org/
