In this the young upcoming jr.year Dayton kicker Juan Carranco (all-dist-all SETX 2010 kicker)has excited faithful w/his accuracy under pressure .As a freshmen 60-60 pats 9-9 fgs to 43 yds=100%-Soph.results 60-62 pats(2 blkd.)8-9 fgs to 44 yds.Pre-game putting 50 yd kicks thru the uprights w/extra air w/avg.40+ punting yds avg.Career totals 174 points w/2 more years left on a team shooting for it's 16 straight playoff appearance in as many years.Setting the bar to break the records of both his unanimous all-dist kickers the Carranco brothers from the past.Good luck to Juan.

Sounds like he has the goods. I hope he has two more awesome seasons. The crappy thing about his sohomore year was that 2 PAT's were blocked but us kickers still get a miss. I think that they should add another statistic. Makes,Misses, and Blocks. I had that happen to me alot. Bad feeling when that happens. Everyone needs to remember that it takes 3 people to kick a fieldgoal. Snapper, holder and kicker. Good luck to him

kicker, I have a question for you.

Would a kick that was a line drive into the backs of his own lineman or so low that a defensive player on the line of scrimmage blocked it with his facemask, be considered a block or a miss? ;D

I understand what you are saying about makes, misses, and blocks and that it shouldn't be all on the kicker, but you see where I am going with this. ;)

I think there would be too much gray area on when a block was the kicker's mistake or not.
