DP#1FAN Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 East Chambers 36 Hemphill 12 Good luck Bucs!
superman84 Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 EC 30 Hemphill 24 But what do I know? I'm just one person............. MTXE, baby!
Guest Bridge City Card Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 EC by 10. Hemphill has some good Athletes as well.
wos pride Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 not saying that hemphill is gonna get demolished but EC. takes this victory without a doubt
Guest Diva Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Just an FYI...since Hemphill is a DETX team, there is a thread regarding this playoff game posted at DETX sports. Be sure to make your predictions over there as well for the Hemphill fans to see. http://www.deepeasttexassports.com/forum/index.php
duckbutter Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Hemphill has a good defense and will burn a lot of clock with their ground pounding type offense behind thier MASSIVE OL. I look for a low scoring game with EC by 7.
MaroonFball Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 EC is a good team, but they are coming out of a very weak district... I think Hemphill's recent tough games will be enough to propel them to the second round... Hemphill 20 EC 12
SteelerCzy Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 MaroonFball what makes you think 24-AA is a weak District? How did you come up with this statement?
MaroonFball Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Maybe not weak overall, but compared to district 23 it is IMO... Newton, Corrigan Camden, and San Augustine have won a state championship in the last 3 or 4 years... and Hemphill made an appearance recently in the title game. I might be wrong come Friday, but I think it will be a 23-2A sweep... EC is your only chance.
SteelerCzy Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 History lesson, that's in the past, come Friday, let the teams play, this years teams, not 3 or 4 yr ago teams. IMO.
Backwoods Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 History lesson' date=' that's in the past, come Friday, let the teams play, this years teams, not 3 or 4 yr ago teams. IMO.[/quote'] You're right. Don't quote history, make it. To paraphrase a Barbay quote.
ECBuc08 Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 EC is going to have to much offense for Hemphill. Everybody is going to back, so look out! EC-40 HH-12
playdefense Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 East Chambers has more speed then Hemphill, so that is a factor as it always is. Hemphill is very good on defense. Really run to the ball. I think EC will control the ball enough to keep Hemphill off the field and then if they feel they are behind and have to abandon the ground game it is to EC favor. Coach V and his staff will have the Bucs ready to play. Have to go with EC by 10.
Bucster Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 EC should have a couple starters back that missed the last 2 or 3 games due to injury. I don't know enough about Hemphill to predict a score but hopefully EC wins.
tommyjean Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 thank u maroonfball finally sumone who recognizes greatness not just records and streaks. HEMPHILL will be good on friday weve fought well through the season and we will show up and we will bring our a-game EC good luck to yall youll need it
tommyjean Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 and remember history repeats itself hemphill with the victory not sure of the score good luck to both teams
MaroonFball Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I wouldnt put greatness and Hemphill hand in hand, but Hemphill is traditionally tough in the playoffs... as is the rest of district 23 2A. Until district 24 proves me wrong, I see them as a weak district if BUNA and DEWEYVILLE can make the playoffs. EC is good, but the rest of the district cant be that much improved over the course of one year. I think EC and Hemphill will be a good game. I am saying that Hemphill will prevail because they HAVE been tested, unlike East Chambers.
ECBuc08 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 EC may not have had as tough of schedule as Hemphill, but the bucs played some good teams, and won, Hemphill play tough teams and lost.
