finger roll
I heard that EC Quarterback Hank Jones had a scholarship to play football at TCU but when I look on the TCU-Rivals site I don't see his name. Does anyone know if Hank is going to play college ball anywhere?

playdefense
he is an invited walk-on - which means he gets to go in when the scholarship players report - does not have to wait until normal walk-ons get to go.

Guest ECBucFan
Hank "The Tank" is one of the toughest young men ever to lace up cleats for EC, or for anyone for that matter. Oh yeah, all he ever did was win, win, win. He be a great addition for TCU!

Doty has a very good chance cause i think Thomas is gone after this year. And Chip loves Texas QBs as he stated last season. ;) Hank will make it also, not at QB but he has the tools to be a great athlete in any position for TCU. Hmmmm - Floyd George, Glen Gaspard, Alan & Glen Koch, Glen Kizer, Tramain Thomas, Vance McDonald & Dad (Bret), Mack George. Would you say that only the players that make the NFL are the toughest?Point is.... plenty of tough kids play football that don't have the talent to go far. Just because they don't go to college or the NFL doesn't make them less tough.

airitout
Thanks!!! Wackpack and ECBUCFAN. God has a plan for us all if we beleive and put faith in Him. I don't ever post on any website but i fill lead to do so. I had a awesome year at EC and was blessed to work with and build life time relationships with great kids. I still keep in touch with many of them and their families. I would like to wish Coach Sutherland the best of luck at EC. I know he will do a great job with all the student /athletes at EC. The EC community needs to back him 100%. A website should never be a place to talk negative about coaches or their family. Remember families, kids and many others read these websites. Coaches need to have loyality for one another because we should all be in the kid helping business.(Developing great people and productive citizens. I simply tried to compliment Hank, who played the entire year with an injured ankle, that was later purposely re-injured. Despite the injury and re-injury, Hank did lead the Bucs to the district Championship, and to the third round. Hank had 250+ yard rushing against Yoe in that game. Amazing considering Hank hobbled around the whole season in a protective boot except while playing. Yeah, I am WELL AWARE of the rich history of EC athletes, and meant no disrespect to any ::). Again note the use of "one of" (thanks Dayton). Sad to see its hard to make a single post without someone (incorrectly) parsing your words, and trying to twist an intended compliment into something negative. ChampionEagles
This kid was a warrior. He limped all over the field and put together a great game at Newton and took home a victory that at the time was considered an upset. He proved over the rest of the season that it was not. Good luck to him in college.
