BrenhamFan Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 No doubt that Vidor has proved that they belong in the playoffs. I have GCM winning this one, but they better not take the Pirates lightly. Vidor has beaten a really good Nederland team earlier in the season, and they are clicking even more now. I think the difference here will be GCM's pitching though. Just too strong in that area.
RonBurgundy68 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Wednesday - 7 PM @ Goose CreekFriday - 4 PM @ VidorSaturday - 1 PM @ Barbers Hill (if needed)
GY55 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Know kids on both sides of this one. Everybody bring your "A" game and have a great series. The dual between Maxwell and Jacobs should be a classic.Good luck to both teams.
Guest baseballlife2 Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Freshman Catcher Jeremy Stevenson has started most games this season, defensively very good and producing at the plate.
adminbaberuth Posted May 3, 2011 Author Report Posted May 3, 2011 I wouldn't count the Pirates out of this series. I know Goose Creek is very good, but Pirates have faced alot of good pitching in district. Hagler and Maxwell seems like they are in their 10th year, both clutch players. I like the Olbrich kid, seems to get it done.
Route66 Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I guess no one want's to answer the question about the match up between these two pitchers...... Hagler & Czerwonla.... LineupsVidor1.

bljnhjs19 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 dont know about the GCM pitcher, but if GCM can hit a curve ball Vidor may be in trouble. I've seen a couple of Vidor games this year and have never seen that many breaking balls thrown by a pitcher in one game. BUT they did win those games so I guess it worked in their district.
SportsFanLuke Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 If it goes to the third game, who is GCM's number three on the hill?
geedad Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 GCM has Johnny Wholestaff and Lee has his cousin Juan Wholestaff..Good luck GCM....GO GET'EM...
sportsfan89 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 The paper says Marinez is on the mound??I thought Czerwonka was pitching??

adminbaberuth Posted May 4, 2011 Author Report Posted May 4, 2011 Good lord guys, with Seely over at Lee and GCM with two No.1's, and with scouts taking up have the bleachers when Gabby pitches how in the world did anyone score a run in 19-4A?
All of the top four teams had solid No. 1's. Throw in Garcia from GP, and I feel the competition in 19-4A has all of us better prepared this year. That being said, results are all that matters.
Guest Ranger83 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Could someone from Vidor please provide me a roster for tonights game? Trying to get the program completed. Have not heard back from Coach Green. (Probably not on his list of priorities today.)Thanks
VPATH Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Hey Pat, I may have missed it but could you give directions to the stadium. Thanks in advance.
