Guest beechnut Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Nothing I would read than a good baseball book which seem to far and few between these days. Picked up The Captian today which is about the career of Derek Jeter and funny is how he struggled when he first started. Hal Newhouse former great and Astro scout quit when Houston took Phil Nevin when they had a chance to take Jeter. Newhouse never worked again in baseball because they told him they were going to take DJ.
Ty Cobb Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 A couple of baseball books that I have enjoyed:Cobb Glove Affairs (This is a book about gloves and players superstitions. Very interesting)
