Why is there five outfielders when three are on the field? On pitchers, who determines how many pitchers is first team? There's some more questions that I'm thinking of ;D :D
TradinUp BH Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 I see, it says co-newcomer ??? Can you see the stirring going on?

Guest JoesBros Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 I just copied the list that was given to me ;)
hawkeye07 Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 What is newcomer? Newcomer to the district? Newcomer to varsity baseball?

roar! Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 congrat to all these guys!!!..those are two great teams!!!.....special congrats to Opes!! proud of ya son!!!
silly365 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 i can understand kyle for coach of the year but robbins? come on now brevelle did a much better job of coaching with all that went on with his program. heck everybody wrote him off after the first 4 or 5 games. he is well deserving of this. how many times did you see joe torre win manager of the year? hell he was expected to win like nederland has been over the last 4 years . take the talent nederland has had just over the last 2 years lol and to lose in the second round and barely made it out of the first round last 2 years its a joke
ForeverADog Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Part of what Brevel had to "deal" with was self inflicted. Plus he had a preseason top 10 team. A lot more was expected from the Indians than what he got from them. Plus Coach Robbins had to replace 2 D1 pitchers and still dominated the district winning by I think it was 3 games.

Please give me your take on the matter, just what happened. Please explain, i have no ideal. ::) Let us all know what "Self Inflicted" means.
ForeverADog Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Well apparently driving players to quit and not doing much for team chemistry. Just everything I have been told about PNG this year was that they didn't have good team chemistry and that has some to do with coaching.
LU07 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Chemistry was fine after the cleansing. That is why they won 9 of the last 12 games and come in second place, with 2 of the loses comimg against the defending state champs which happen to be ranked #1 in the state. No team in the district are the area finished with better team chemistry than this team did. They played there hearts out for there coach and for each other. Instead of listening to hear say, ask any of them personally. Self inflicted it was not.

What was expected from PNG and what was performed on the field I believe doesnt give Brevel coach of the year
LU07 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 I didn't say he did. Lets put the focus back on the kids, that is who the awards are for.Congrats to all who have received post season awards. They are well deserved.
GTBBaseball Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 One golden rule many should take in consideration;1 - Never view a coaches integrity or character by wins and losses2 - Never pass judgement on a coach until an ENTIRE season has concluded from start to finish.Coaches KNOW their teams, we as fans, only "think" we know... Those of us who "post" on this board, taking wins, losses, issues, and awards so serious is admirable at times yet can be bordering classless two frames later.... We are all "fans" of our community program and baseball as a whole... sometimes much more passionate then we should be, but remember, "fans" stands for "fanatics"....Congrats to Robbins, Green, and the entire list of All District players.. nobody can EVER take that honor from you guys... ever!Another season of baseball in 4a in the books and we all should carry the hopes many programs paid attention and learned how to improve next season...Fackler
TradinUp BH Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Congrats to all! Congrats to Brevell for turning the Tribe around! No doubt the team rised above and finished strong. Scalp'em

Robbins led a team that lost it's #1 and #2 pitchers, through the first round against a very game Barbers Hill club. Then lost in the second round, again without his #1 pitcher, to a very solid Magnolia team, that will be playing for a shot at the Regional Championship. Two years ago, he led the Dogs to a Regional Final, losing in three games. Please, go puke your propaganda somewhere else, nobody who knows baseball is buying it. I'm sure there are many things you could criticize him about, but the performance of his program isn't one of em. Robbins has the Dogs playing at a high level, and deserves the recognition that came his way. Little kudos' overall to Nederland, as two former Dog pitchers were the coaches of the year, congrats ot Green as well. They grow em pretty good over there.
