Augustus Mcrae Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Anyone have a final on this one. I heard the game was cancelled due to weather.
Guest demup Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 From what I have heard, there was some controversy. Anyone close to the situation care to give us the scoop?
Doc Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 i heard tarkington did not want to make the game up on sat. Cleveland Wins! 2-0
Go-rilla Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 from what I heard cleveland was asked to come back sat. @ 10 and they said NO!!! Way to cheat your kids out of their final game.
Hitch Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Cleveland did not want to play the game. I was standing there with them at 10:00 pm when they said they would not start after 10:00. Saturday was the next available playing date. Times where discussed to play the game on Saturday. Cleveland said they would not be there.
ncplaya Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Tarkington gave them the offer 10 or 2 on Sat. and they said NO!!!!! They were out of playoffs at that time and did not want to play. How do you do that to those seniors on both sides??
femur_breaker Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 That cheated seniors out of playing their last game. That shows what kind of guts Cleveland had.
Guest 12pack Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 From the seniors @ cleveland to Head Coach Thanks for nothing!!! From the coaching world to the cleveland coaching staff - How do you pass on the last game of the year for your seniors, even better how do you back down to on one of your biggest rivals. I guess one good thing has come from this you (head coach) will always be remembered by the senior class of 06-07 as the guy who thought more about his win loss record than the actual competition we prepare our kids for each and every day..Thanks for nothing..
shsucat Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 This is not the first time that the Cleveland coaches have decided not to play a game! In 2004 they decided not play Silsbee, after the coaches said that they would go to Cleveland, since the came to Silsbee. (Rain) Sounds like the coaches are concerned about loses and not the players!!!!
