Love the enthusiasm, but that's pretty bold! I would not be surprised to see them at the regional tournament for the next 5 years, making it to state at least one of those times (probably the 2012-2013 season).

I love the groups coming up too, but Nederland cant win in Austin unless they get size! Talent is there to be great but Height wins you state ;) The varsity group for next year is learning that at Texas A&M this weekend for the team camp. Playing pretty well from what I have been told, but the teams they are going against are huge

Nederland is putting in work,  lots of size and athletes out at A&M.  A few other SE Tx boys getting work with their selct teams also.  Pretty impressive so far.

The 6'5" transfer (not from PAM) should help with size.

No they have (or at least have found LOL) a very talented group of younger kids coming in as freshman this year and next.

There still isnt alot of size coming in with the freshman group you are referring to. The Road to State will always go through Houston (Yates, Lamarque, Ball, etc)

That being said Nederland should be the most dominant team in the area for several years to come.

I got to watch Nederland this am, while at A&M, impressive 3 point shootiing.  Not a lot of size, but talented. They beat Whitesboro and lost to Clear Creek.

I heard they played well. One of the only 4A teams at the camp, and probably the only team w/o a Senior on the team.

They did do well.  There were several 4A school there,  Maybe in the big school division, except for Defenders whbo were all to be sophs and 1 to be jr.  Small school division had mostly jv teams,.some freshman teams and a all incoming freshman team.  Great competition. Saw a lot of talent out there.  Lindale a 3A schoool had a sr post player, all state this yr, was the most impressive post I saw

I was basing that assumption on the teams Nederland played all weekend. I think they only played against  5A teams. Not aware of any 4A teams they faced.
