Nederland mentioned in SI!

I watched them play in both tournaments. It is clear that the level of talent is not what it was two weeks ago. The college scouts know this too. There were 12-15 scouts two weeks ago, yesterday there were about 6 or 8. Regardless of what Mr. Dove says, there is still talent here. Even saw Billy Gillispie there yesterday. I don't think he spends his weekends watching sub-par talent.

He's right. Franchise 3T 15U is not very good.  And it's not jealousy.  It's great to see the kids putting work to get better. Beat who you should easily handle is fine. It's good competition.

The ONLY reason MC Flight even played Franchise 3T is b/c the other team in their division did not show up. Franchise 3T saw an opportunity to improve by playing against better competition. MC Flight also beat a talented 5A  Pearland team last night by 15 or so. I'm sure Dove will discredit them too.  ;)
I've seen MCFlight play. Good squad. But let me put it in another perspective. There are 8th grade teams I know who can beat MC Flight. I'm glad you guys are doinf what you are doing. BUT! Don't come on here thinking you are playing the top tier teams out of Houston. ;)

MC Flight played two more games today in the Houston Top 12 Challenge:

They lost to Houston Franchize (same team they lost to yesterday by one) 67-45.  I was informed that about half of this team is from Christian Life (private school in Houston who played in the Bulldog Classic last season in Nederland). Unless you were at the game, you have no clue of what you are talking about regarding their talent level (BlueDove). Anyway, there were recruiters from TX Tech, Miss ST, Miss Valley, UNT, N. Carolina, and a couple of others. Flight played better than yesterday, but lost by 22 vs. 1. Franchize was on fire from 3-land, and they had a big front court when they (rarely)missed. Two kids were 6'8", and two others were 6'6".

Flight won the third place game against The Houston Celtics 89-71. They are a 17U team-not sure where these kids go to school. Probably some small school similar to HF  :o (cheap shot at BlueDove). Probably would have reached 100, but they started a running clock after Flight extended their lead to 26 about midway through 2nd half.

Great job MC Flight, I enjoyed coaching y'all this weekend! Good luck to each one of you.

How about YOU don't come on here and try to discredit these kids!  >:( There is not an 8th grade team in this country who could beat them, get real! If you don't have knowledge of these games/teams, maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself!!  Gees Dove, draw a line for urself and try not to cross it!

MC Flight heading back to Houston tomorrow to play (at least) three games against more top talent from Houston's Select Teams. I'll update scores. Will be great exposure for them.
What tournament are they playing in?
I believe it's called Invitational 12?

Lost by one (again) to Houston Franchize.

Then beat Franchize 3T (their 15U team) by 18.

Next game at 7:30

Correction: The tournament was called Houston Top 12 Challenge. For more information, go to www.thebrooksports.com

Hahahahahahahaha!! Are U serious Dove?? Get a clue man. If U truley believe that, then name 'several'-heck, just name ONE- 8th grade teams who can come within 20 points of MC Flight. You know Dove, I use to actually think U knew a little bit about HS basketball. Lately, however, U have been proving me wrong in that department b/c you are just full of IT, and U clearly have nothing of value to add to this thread (or this forum) except hot air...

Its okay! I know the truth. You guys are barely beating the teams the same 8th graders win over in Houston.  Houston Defenders Select and Houston Hoops (8th graders-going to 9th) beat these teams. ::)
Again Dove, U have NO clue what ur talking about! They've never played Houston Defenders Select or Houston Hoops or ANY 14U teams. ONE time they played a 15U team (3T), and they beat them by more than 20. Before U make another ignorant comment regarding the competition, maybe U should contact Terell Henderson and ask him about the teams they r playing. Remember, U have about 2 weeks to move your boys to Nederland.  ::)
