I agree, his resume speaks for itself. I think it would be great fit, and he has four boys. They could live in Port Neches. ;D

As far as LU goes, according to stats this year it came down to hitting not pitching.

Scoring 0-2 runs  3-19
... 3-5 runs  8-3
... 6-9 runs  8-4
... 10+ runs  10-1

If you use that stat from thier site, if they would've scored more then two runs maybe they could've squeeked out another 9 or 10 wins. They lost 3-2 and 4-1 in tourney which still not over two runs. I thought that was an interesting stat and shoots down the injury bug theory. No doubt it would've helped to have everybody healthy, but that wasn't the determining factor this season IMO.

One of the hardest things is knowing when to leave.  How many times have we seen through the years a great boxing champion stay around to long only to get embarrased.  Gilligan has been a good one and a great ambassodor for the University. Can't say as to when he will step aside.  This year I am sure is a disappoinment for him.

Dallas Baptist coach had his team playing some good ball clubs. They played Oklahoma St, TT, UT, OU, A&M, and Baylor from the Big 12 and went 4-5. They went 3-0 against TCU and Rice. They went 3-2 against the PAC-10. This guy don't shy away from anybody and they went 39-17 on the season. Not too shabby.

then they need to get rid of rickelson then and bring in some hitters, lamar use to get those top notch hitters but when you don't play the big boys like other southland teams do you will lose recruits!!!!! Because we all know recruits want to against baylor, lsu, texas, Aggies, and etc

    • Are you really gonna talk about decorum from a President while supporting the guy who effectively has no such decorum? Just last night the former president (and would-be despot) was in Arizona talking with Tucker Carlson and fantasized about Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad… after calling her dumb, of course.     Trump didn’t just “defecate all over the office of the President”…. He is a piece of excrement.
    • I personally hope PN-G gets 2nd gets to the 2nd round wins the flip against SOC and drag them them to Houston to play
    • I like option number two, PNG and Nederland both win. Nederland i’ll be the district champion, number 1 seed or whatever you want to call it. Yes I know that if two or three teams tie with the same record, they will be called co-champions and everyone gets a trophy. One team however will go in as the first place team in district and will play the fourth place team in the bi-district round. If PNG and Nederland both win, Nederland will be #1. • Virginia has same day voter registration. A person can literally walk in to the voting location, register and then vote. So the premise that Virginia might be stopping people with a legitimate right to vote is nonsense. From what I gather in the news report, assuming that the ones I have read are correct, the people that were removed, filled out a drivers license registration and marked that they were not an American citizen. Could the person have made a mistake bychecking the box incorrectly? Although unlikely it is certainly possible. That same person who was removed can go into the same voting location where he would have voted and again, complete a voter registration and then vote.  That went into the Supreme Court’s decision.  If such a person votes by registering on election day, he fills out a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not originally counted and or not counted unless needed. For example….  Statewide there are 500 provisional ballots cast. A person wins the election by 4,000 votes. That would be no need to count the provisional ballots as it will not matter. Then let’s say there are 5,000 provisional ballots cast in the election. One candidate then wins the election by only 1,500 votes. In that case, the election could definitely swing on those provisional ballots. The state will then investigate each person to make sure they live at the correct address listed and that they are American citizens. If these things are correct, the vote will then be counted. Safe Harbor is not untillll…… I think December 17th this year so there will be six weeks to verify the provisional ballots if needed. The purging of the names of people who checked a state form saying that they were not an American citizen, will not stop that same person from voting.
