At this point, UT could care less about the Big XII tourney. It's always good to win, but there are bigger fish to fry down the road.

They have a regional locked up safely. They could use a win or two to lock up a super regional. Still might get one anyway even if they lose tomorrow.

A&M also has a regional locked up. They still have an outside chance to get a super regional if they win it all this weekend.

Everyone does realize that the Big 12 tournament is a round-robin style tournament.

A team controls their destiny by going 3-0... but tie-breakers go to the highest seeded team in each bracket to determine who plays in the championship game.

Sorry, I've seen "Baylor eliminated" - which is true, and then I saw someone post "Aggies get the winner of such and such"

Big 12 designs it that way for cinderella 6/7 seeds to make the big dance each year, and also lets the top dogs control their own destiny for hosting super regionals/ regionals.

Big Mizzou alumn, went to nearly 200 games in college (road, home, and every year to OKC)

They switched back this year to a  brackets with double elimination in each bracket. The two bracket winners will play for the championship in a best of 3 I believe.

You are correct that they switched back to a double elimination format... I will promise you the final game will be winner takes all and not a three game series!

Good call, that's a lot of baseball for two weekends...

UH looking solid, they get to lose to Rice again (what 22 out the last 25)??? Coach had a huge "come to Jesus" meeting with the Coogs, wouldn't let them into the clubhouse two weeks ago after game 1 loss to southern miss. Now they're on fire.

Aggies 9-Kansas State 8. A&M to the championship game. Down 8-4 in the bottom of the 8th, A&M tied the game with 4 in the 8th, and won it in the bottom of the 11th with a bases loaded no outs single. With Stilson out for the year and not able to pitch at all in the tourney, A&M will be way down into the pitching depth chart tomorrow.

    • Are you really gonna talk about decorum from a President while supporting the guy who effectively has no such decorum? Just last night the former president (and would-be despot) was in Arizona talking with Tucker Carlson and fantasized about Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad… after calling her dumb, of course.     Trump didn’t just “defecate all over the office of the President”…. He is a piece of excrement.
    • I personally hope PN-G gets 2nd gets to the 2nd round wins the flip against SOC and drag them them to Houston to play
    • I like option number two, PNG and Nederland both win. Nederland i’ll be the district champion, number 1 seed or whatever you want to call it. Yes I know that if two or three teams tie with the same record, they will be called co-champions and everyone gets a trophy. One team however will go in as the first place team in district and will play the fourth place team in the bi-district round. If PNG and Nederland both win, Nederland will be #1. • Virginia has same day voter registration. A person can literally walk in to the voting location, register and then vote. So the premise that Virginia might be stopping people with a legitimate right to vote is nonsense. From what I gather in the news report, assuming that the ones I have read are correct, the people that were removed, filled out a drivers license registration and marked that they were not an American citizen. Could the person have made a mistake bychecking the box incorrectly? Although unlikely it is certainly possible. That same person who was removed can go into the same voting location where he would have voted and again, complete a voter registration and then vote.  That went into the Supreme Court’s decision.  If such a person votes by registering on election day, he fills out a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not originally counted and or not counted unless needed. For example….  Statewide there are 500 provisional ballots cast. A person wins the election by 4,000 votes. That would be no need to count the provisional ballots as it will not matter. Then let’s say there are 5,000 provisional ballots cast in the election. One candidate then wins the election by only 1,500 votes. In that case, the election could definitely swing on those provisional ballots. The state will then investigate each person to make sure they live at the correct address listed and that they are American citizens. If these things are correct, the vote will then be counted. Safe Harbor is not untillll…… I think December 17th this year so there will be six weeks to verify the provisional ballots if needed. The purging of the names of people who checked a state form saying that they were not an American citizen, will not stop that same person from voting.
