Thats right. Pound for pound he is the best player on the Vidor Pirates. He has the most heart and he is the leader of the team. Do not discount him because of his height. Many have done that in the past and regretted it.

OK, let the hatin begin!
IMO Vidor will look much the same as they do every year.  Yes they have some good quality kids coming back and coming up.  They will look decent in the pre-district and give some of the district favorites and big scare.  They will play hard nosed football and may even surprise someone.  But when its all over they will be a couple games from where they wanted to be.  Believe me when I say I'm pullin for Vidor and they are my 2nd favorite team in the area, but it will take some big changes for them to play to their full potental.  Vidor will someday have to decide if they want to go the next level or not...again, JMO.

Actually one of the kids did time near 4.3....Bollinger is very fast and I know his time is below a 4.4...but it doesnt matter.  Every team that plays Vidor will stack the line of scrimmage, and 5 guys arent gonna block 8 guys consistantly.  If you dont throw the football about 30-40% of the time then everybody creeps up to the line of scrimmage.  Vidor has QB's that can throw the ball, they just dont have a coach that knows how to design throwing plays so that the pass protection is there.

You're right about defenses stacking the box on Vidor, they need to be able to sell the pass in order to allow their running game to be successful.

The Washington twins we had 3 years ago ran a 4.3 and I'm sure Soulja remembers Huntsville's Justin Gilbert from the playoff game a couple years ago.

All 3 of those guys were true 4.3's, but it's not something you see very often.
