adminbaberuth Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 For about 10 years I would follow a local team in the playoffs after Nederland finished their regular season. Then Nuemann shows up, now it's going to be my 11th year without a chance to see another team in their bi-district game. Nederland never makes it easy, no district champs....Dogs in, fluke play with PNG vs Ozen.....Dogs in, Butler wins flip with Indians...... Dogs in, 5-5 record....Dogs in

They have won the bi-district game for 9 straight years and been to the quarterfinals (at least) four times in the last 9 years.
Guest Jags Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Nederland has one of the best Staffs in the area. I could see you Dogs going a couple of rounds.
Guest CougarPride Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Nederland could not beat VIDOR which means they will not make it past the second round
Holman Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Nice post, cougarpride. Lamar Consolidated will have a greater impact on Nederland's advancing past the 2nd round than Nederland's loss to vidor. Holman
Zoneblock Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 They should beat GP but i think that will be it. With a record of 5-5 yall dont have the defense to match up very long in the play-offs.
Lucky Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I like the Dogs this week but thats it
NederlandFreak2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 GP is a probable win. But the second round...I can't wait. I smell an upset...and it's getting pretty toasty!
Guest etbu Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Think you guys can hang with Highland Park or Texas High? I have some people form Marshall and we got HP last year in the finals. Was like forty two zip at the end of the first.
TradinUp BH Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I just looked at 4A D1 bracket and on paper it looks soft. If NED wins first two games, I don't see any power house teams or maybe I missed one. The second game is going to be against a very tough team, but if NED can pull it out who knows?
Guest PurplePride Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 NEDERLAND ALWAYS pulls it off! Because they KNOW HOW!
jake94 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Nederland could not beat VIDOR which means they will not make it past the second round So, does this mean that Crosby will lose 1st round since they lost to PN-G who did not make the playoffs? Probably so... but Dayton is the reason y'all will lose, not PN-G.. Just like for Nederland, the team that beats them in the playoffs is the team that will cause their season to end, not the loss to Vidor 2 months ago.
Guest CougarPride Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Yu have NO SECONDARY that is why you will not make it past the third round in my opinion. But Im not saying you are not a good team, you are but at 5-5 you are not a powerhouse, IN MY OPINION. But goodluck to yall anyways But I have to pull for our District so better luck to GP
jake94 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 3RD ROUND? For all intents and purposes the 3rd round is a stretch. A state ranked and loaded Lamar Consolidated team is waiting for us in round 2 if we get past GP and they get past Friendswood. We would be a huge underdog in that game with or without a secondary. I just hope we beat GP so we can play them. I'll make a side bet with you though, Nederland will get further in the playoffs than Crosby will. At worst it'll be a tie. Dayton is for real.
Guest Luv Ya Blue Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Nederland will be one and done.
Bigdog Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 seems like I heard a bunch of that stuff when we played friendswood in the quarters a few years ago.
dme1111 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 love ya blue... another wrong prediction... You should really find something else to do with your time... Nederland wins the first round game, Nederland winning in round 2 is a longshot.
bronco1 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I saw that 8 people voted State Champs above. Thats a big claim, to get to the State Championship Mosley will have to run another 2000 yds in the playoffs.

MikeEast Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Man its hard to tell. I would say that odds are 1-2 rounds. That would be a logical prediciton. I will say this, Nederland has LOST to lesser teams in the playoffs before. Maybe this year we are the lesser team so maybe its our turn to get a break. :?:
Bigdog Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 As I said in another thread, Friendswood was #2 in state and undefeated in 01. 25-7 final. It can be done.
Guest Luv Ya Blue Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 No way you beat Lamar Consolated.
CATS80 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 COOP, put some numbers from LC on the Forum, they do look impressive Nederland needs to get on the field and go crazy on them and And you might have a chance Otherwise dont look good Im pulling for nederland Good luck!
