I have seen his name on here many times about putting in for other positions...maybe he got one?

Has Coach Mitchell Resigned?  Hard to buy in to a coach when his bags are packed and the kids know it.

The powers that be decided in order to save money they needed to let some probationary teachers go and he was one of them. He was a very passionate coach that brought the girls up from last place in the district to much more competitive. His bags are only packed because he has a family to support! His plan was to stay there and try to build the program. Good luck,  Coach!

as of now the word is that one of the other male coaches (Dotson) will be taking on the girls' Varsity team.

He was a first year coach and teacher at Deweyville who was Rif'ed because of the budget cutbacks. Believe me, he did not want to go.

It was the worse decison Deweyville has made  and also it's going to hurt the girls program bad!!!!

heard he landed at starks la not a bad place to learn a little small school basketball as they coming off a state championship

I have talk to alot of people in starks and they absolutely love that Coach Mitchell is in Starks!! We sure do miss him in Deweyville though.
