Let's use this thread for reports of Little League results, game times or rain outs.

Kids and parents love to see kid's names recognized, so rosters of the all-star teams would be great. Any Hr's or great pitching , put a name out there. This thread is about the kids, so keep it positive. It's not about the coaches, we know it's all voluntary and LL baseball couldn't survive without coaches and parents, but keep it focused on the kids.

Question

1. How many age divisions does LL baseball have for all-stars?

2. How far can they advance, is it just the 12 yr olds to Williamsport?

3. Anyone have a link for brackets?

1. 8, 9, 10, 11, and 11/12
2. 8 and 9 have district tournments only. 10 and 11 have district, sectionals and State. 11/12 Williamsport.

It use to be in Big League that if you won district, then you got to pick kids from other team in that district to be on your team. When you got sectionals you needed them because teams were tough out of the Houston area. Golden Triangle use to have some good junior, senior, and Big League teams. That was before showcase teams were around. Beaumont placed 3rd in the World back in the mid 80's and a junior team I was on played at Olsen Field (A&M) for state. It was a neat experience.

remember the day, played on 84 team when Beaumont Big League won State,  went to Florida in regional series and got bumped before world series.  Remember picking a couple of players up before State that added some power to the team. 86 team as I recal was the Big League team that got 3rd in world when Folmer and Fackler from French HS received " all world" honors!!!!  Beaumont had a solid group in Big League from 84-86, it was fun to be part of the best baseball talent in the country at the time!!!!!!!

I played Big League 90-92. We had some teams, but got beat in Regionals in Houston. I remember having to play a team for the championship that consisted of The Woodlands, Tomball, and Magnolia. They were solid, but we still almost beat them. Those were fun years.
