dadof2 Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 what is best sanctioning body asa or usfa in our area
badndn Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 What age group? This is what I would recommend for a younger group:10U-12URegister both. Play lots of USFA because of the subtitution rules which enable you to play more people. This is key for the younger ages to find out who can compete. Also USFA has had the State Tourny in BMT the last few years. Play ASA State and see how you fair. If you qualify for nat's and feel you can compete, go for it. I would also suggest that you do the USFA Panama City thing before they get to 14U at least once. Great fun and pretty good softball. 14U and aboveOnce you reach 14U most everything should be geared toward ASA. ASA is where the big dogs play and where the most exposure is once they get into the recruiting age. ESPN is trying to push the Premier Fastpitch deal as well. Seems to be getting some meat.
