I know some of the coaching staff, and they are pretty verbal about how the community does not support the athletic program the way it should. The facilities need to be updated in a big way..They have started it looks like with the new school, but those kids need to have something to take pride in.

I graduated from Tarkington in 1983, nothing has change since then. There is little to no support. Plus most kids there do not play sports.

I could say the same about the band here in Dayton. We're not supported for crap.

Just motivate people from Junior High to want to join something, to participate in the school. It's a hard thing to do especially when you have potheads going around saying nothing you do does any good.

:D I support you guys! Always have, always will! I am terribly worried about who will play the horse while yall are parading in Chicago! Any ideas??? Keep after the junior high...they aren't listening anymore...they need to stay in band if they aren't gonna play football! Busy kids are GOOD KIDS! :D

I know some of the coaches, too. It's a tough road. Probably should have made it in '01. Maybe they will put it together one day.
