My understanding is that Lance Dale has been introduced as the superintendent's recommendation for both head football coach and athletic director, but that the board is currently in executive session with, interestingly enough, Coach Joubert.

What happened to you saying Joubert was going to be the head coach at Silsbee?

Now Ira will be named Friday with both the AD and principal out of town till next week.

And it is equally odd because here is the notice for the next meeting of the Silsbee ISD (https://v3.boardbook.org/Public/PublicItemDownload.aspx?mk=50031079&fn=notice.pdf), which is on July 26, 2011 (next Tuesday) and as you can see, the consideration of the new head coach is not on the agenda.

I spoke with Coach Joubert after the board meeting tonight. He was very pleased and excited about staying on at Kountze and looking forward to his new position as Assistant AD. It was obvious he was very happy about being able to stay there in Kountze.
