If I was coaching Sabine Pass or H-I, I would make the boys run wind sprints daily in ankle deep beach sand. It will burn your legs up! Great for conditioning.

Running bleachers forces everyone into a set stride length..... That and the soft surface for impact and football specific purposes are good reasons to run hills rather than bleachers.
