Williams hit a 3-pointer with 41 seconds left to give Crosby a 41-40 lead, and then the Lady Coogs defense held tough, as Crosby came away with a 41-40 victory over La Marque. Crosby was paced by Creshun White with 18, while Chelsea Miller had six, Williams five and Ashley Branch had five. La Marque was led by Marissa Ashton with 11 and Erin Morthel with 10. Crosby improved to 5-2 with the win, while La Marque (3-1) suffered its first loss. Crosby will return to action Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Nimitz.
