Word is that the t-sip channel will air Matthew McConaughey movies and left wing talk shows instead.
[/quote] ::) And the Aggies will have there own network starting 2012 with replays of Brokeback Mountain and Flavor Flav hosting a show about frying chicken.  ;)

Sounds more like Austin but anyways. The whole thing comes down to the agreement made by UT with the Big 12's other schools last year. This is why the Big 12 (10) stayed together. Low and behold Texas goes back on their word so of course the other schools aren't going to just go along with it. I agree the Big 12 is doomed.

I also agree with the prospects of A&M and Mizzou to the SEC. The SEC doesn't want Okie State so that's holding up OU. If that doesn't work out maybe OU and OSU to PAC-12. Kansas and Kansas State to the Big East. Tech will try to talk to the PAC 12. Who knows about Iowa State???? Baylor maybe C-USA. And Texas goes independent. This is just my oppinion.

There was a post on an LSU blog that I read this past weekend that led me to believe the SEC may not be interested in Texas A&M as much as they might like to think....

I do agree we are in the last days of the Big XII....

Maybe LSU fans don't want the Aggies because A&M has defeated LSU 6 out of the last 7 meetings. ;) ;D

I also think that LSU likes being the school with the more southwest geography in that West division (state of Texas recruits) If A&M comes in, they would lose that status somewhat.

Well, the blog I read stated that it was mainly the fact that the SEC offered them last year, they didn't come then and now they don't want to put their reputation as a conference on the line by breaking up another conference....

I would hate to see all of the Texas schools split up in different conferences....

Can you imagine the mess it would make if the Big XII breaks up?

It would be a mess if the Big 12 implodes.  On the LSU front – LSU was one of the schools that really did not want A&M in the SEC last time but was out voted.  The fact is that the SEC wants games in the state of Texas but really does not want Texas (the University) so that puts A&M in a strong position.  Why do they not want Texas – who knows – could be they know Texas likes to be control  ;D or they know that Texas has the richest athletic program in the country and they do not wish to compete with that ;).  But the fact is if the SEC can get games on Texas soil they will – period.

By richest do you mean under achieving consistently....A&M has won more national championships over the last several years than UT..

Buddy, You would not be the only one to blame A&M. :D But I believe that is exactly what UT wants. Lets push our network and our weight around until someone leaves, blows up this conference, we go indy and whoever leaves first gets the blame. And if not we get everything we want in this conference. This Network was setup for UT to go independent, just when it happens I don't think they arfe in a hurry, but they know it is going to happen! But if A&M gets what they want, I don't think they care if they get blamed! ;)

Yes - but the topic is FOOTBALL where your example is neither true nor valid.
