So this is nullified?

Pat Knight adds juco transfer, has one spot to fill
June 16, 2011 at 5:19 pm by Chris Dabe

Lamar University men’s basketball has a second new player and another scholarship left to fill, coach Pat Knight said Thursday.

Stephen Coles, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound forward, will transfer from Indian Hills Community College to play at Lamar, the university announced.

Coles helped Indian Hills to a 22-10 record with 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 60 percent from the floor. He earned second-team all-Region II honors.

Coles joins Nikko Acosta from Gulf Coast Community College as the only two new players signed by Knight.

Gone from last season’s team are guard Tremell Adams, center Orlando Brazier and forward Darius Harris. Adams left for personal reasons and Brazier and Harris left because of poor grades, assistant coach Clif Carroll said.

That stinks about Brazier, especially going into his Senior season. He put in some good minutes last year. Can he become elligible after the fall session and rejoin the team for conference play? or even sit out this year (red-shirt) and rejoin next season? Or is he out of school?

LU has never released roster or schedule until the school year begins in late August or early September.

Exactly.  It has actually been refreshing to have the coach actually announce signings and inform the public of the guys that won't be returning.  With the exception of last season, we were kept completely in the dark until September.

We just lost both of those guys this week at the end of the Summer 2 session. I'm sure the final roster will be out soon. They don't play for another 2 1/2 months.

    • Are you really gonna talk about decorum from a President while supporting the guy who effectively has no such decorum? Just last night the former president (and would-be despot) was in Arizona talking with Tucker Carlson and fantasized about Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad… after calling her dumb, of course.     Trump didn’t just “defecate all over the office of the President”…. He is a piece of excrement.
    • I personally hope PN-G gets 2nd gets to the 2nd round wins the flip against SOC and drag them them to Houston to play
    • I like option number two, PNG and Nederland both win. Nederland i’ll be the district champion, number 1 seed or whatever you want to call it. Yes I know that if two or three teams tie with the same record, they will be called co-champions and everyone gets a trophy. One team however will go in as the first place team in district and will play the fourth place team in the bi-district round. If PNG and Nederland both win, Nederland will be #1. • Virginia has same day voter registration. A person can literally walk in to the voting location, register and then vote. So the premise that Virginia might be stopping people with a legitimate right to vote is nonsense. From what I gather in the news report, assuming that the ones I have read are correct, the people that were removed, filled out a drivers license registration and marked that they were not an American citizen. Could the person have made a mistake bychecking the box incorrectly? Although unlikely it is certainly possible. That same person who was removed can go into the same voting location where he would have voted and again, complete a voter registration and then vote.  That went into the Supreme Court’s decision.  If such a person votes by registering on election day, he fills out a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not originally counted and or not counted unless needed. For example….  Statewide there are 500 provisional ballots cast. A person wins the election by 4,000 votes. That would be no need to count the provisional ballots as it will not matter. Then let’s say there are 5,000 provisional ballots cast in the election. One candidate then wins the election by only 1,500 votes. In that case, the election could definitely swing on those provisional ballots. The state will then investigate each person to make sure they live at the correct address listed and that they are American citizens. If these things are correct, the vote will then be counted. Safe Harbor is not untillll…… I think December 17th this year so there will be six weeks to verify the provisional ballots if needed. The purging of the names of people who checked a state form saying that they were not an American citizen, will not stop that same person from voting.
