Brett Brown for Nederland.  If it is either on offense clearing the way for benjamin or if it is at his linebacker position this kid isn't afraid to stick his head into a pile

Joe Persohn - hardin jefferson

I think this post was about legal hard hits, not cut blocks and blind sides after the blow of the whistle.

Peveto from PNG. Big Safety who likes to hit, ala Chris Gohlke (only bigger) for those that remember.

I hear the Reed kid from LCM can hit with the best of them and he is a big kid.

Every one of the starters on the 2011 LaMarque defense.  ;D

Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration but thanks for the compliment. They may not all be the hardest hitters but unlike last year it's wrap up the runner first then go for the strip as opposed to last year where at times it was the other way around.
coog88, Don't you think La Marque is going to have a rough start with the lack of height and experience in the secondary?

Quick outs or hot crossing routes (beware of Butler though) might be a better option for opponents to get 5-7 yds rather than going for the deep ball. Unless we face a hoss of a line like Aledo I don't think their QB's will have the time to even throw deep too often. Best way to counter our speed is to have a QB that rolls out every play instead of trying to stay in the pocket. Don't forget Coach Jackson isn't opposed to having players go both ways if need be under certain circumstances. If I recall correctly Kendall Hill (WR 6'3") played safety at times but I'm confident the DB coach will make adjustments if need be or double up to try and counter height differences. Brian Allen (WR 6'3) could help out but I don't think that will occur very often if at all?

Yeah, I agree. DE Lawrence Montegue is also one to keep your eye on. He came up big in a lot of LM's home games.

Reuter (SR), LB at Barbers Hill has been punishing folks for a couple seasons and Dolan (JR), outside LB and FB was drilling people in the scrimmage last week....ready to see some more of that from both of them at Santa Fe.

Caleb Bluiett
Beaumont West Brook
History records the knock out and broken bones to prove it!
[/Caleb does hit like a ton of bricks and is extremely talented, but I have to say that Brandtley Wilson (Kelly -MLB) hits just as hard and will de-cleat you in a heartbeat.]
