The only being who doesn't make mistakes is God! If a kids look up to Perkins that's great, but parents screw up as well. Stuff happens. Build a bridge and get over it. Stay out of Beaumont at night. It's gangsta!
Your comment makes no sense at all in relation to the previous comments ??? I'm sure those parents who 'forked over big bucks" had no complaints about the camp and the lessons, new friendships, etc.  that were made. ;)

My comment was referring to telling a paying parent to just get over it if they had a problem with his actions. Since you are sure no parents had a problem I guess it’s a nonissue. ::)

If  I were a paying parent though I would have a problem.
My kids attended the camp. The banquet was great. The parents understood why he was a no-show (for the banquet).

And exactly what reason was given to the parents for Perkins no-showing the banquet?

I wonder if all of the parents still "understood" when they turned on the morning news the following day to find that Perkins was "resting" at a nightclub until 2 in the morning.

Mistake-I am sorry i must have called the wrong number.  Bad and selfish choice-Get drunk and disappoint a bunch of kids! This everyone makes mistakes is turning into an easy out for everything anyone does. The truth is a mistake is something you cannot control. Bad choices you can!!!

His lawyer says differently! ;)
While the fact that he may have been drunk is an aggravating factor in all of this, it is not my main beef.  Because whether he was drunk or stone sober, it is undisputed that he was at a nightclub at 2 in the morning after skipping a charity game and banquet.

That shows immaturity, a lack of respect for the very charity he "created" and his home town and a complete lack of pure common sense.

Nothing his lawyer says will change that.

    • I personally hope PN-G gets 2nd gets to the 2nd round wins the flip against SOC and drag them them to Houston to play
    • I like option number two, PNG and Nederland both win. Nederland i’ll be the district champion, number 1 seed or whatever you want to call it. Yes I know that if two or three teams tie with the same record, they will be called co-champions and everyone gets a trophy. One team however will go in as the first place team in district and will play the fourth place team in the bi-district round. If PNG and Nederland both win, Nederland will be #1. • Virginia has same day voter registration. A person can literally walk in to the voting location, register and then vote. So the premise that Virginia might be stopping people with a legitimate right to vote is nonsense. From what I gather in the news report, assuming that the ones I have read are correct, the people that were removed, filled out a drivers license registration and marked that they were not an American citizen. Could the person have made a mistake bychecking the box incorrectly? Although unlikely it is certainly possible. That same person who was removed can go into the same voting location where he would have voted and again, complete a voter registration and then vote.  That went into the Supreme Court’s decision.  If such a person votes by registering on election day, he fills out a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not originally counted and or not counted unless needed. For example….  Statewide there are 500 provisional ballots cast. A person wins the election by 4,000 votes. That would be no need to count the provisional ballots as it will not matter. Then let’s say there are 5,000 provisional ballots cast in the election. One candidate then wins the election by only 1,500 votes. In that case, the election could definitely swing on those provisional ballots. The state will then investigate each person to make sure they live at the correct address listed and that they are American citizens. If these things are correct, the vote will then be counted. Safe Harbor is not untillll…… I think December 17th this year so there will be six weeks to verify the provisional ballots if needed. The purging of the names of people who checked a state form saying that they were not an American citizen, will not stop that same person from voting.
