WOSgrad
Just got from David Henry and Gina Mizell's (of the Enterprise) twitter that the Sharks have a new head coach/AD. Assistant coach and head baseball coach Troy Gragg was hired to replace Jason Thibodeaux. The change apparently occurred some time this summer.Congratulations, Coach Gragg. PN-G bamatex
Congrats! Gragg and his wife are both PN-G grads and live here in Port Neches. I'm sure he'll do fine (although I might be a little biased because I go to church with him ;D).
AshlyHasBeen
Congrats Coach. Played baseball with T-Roy growing up. Now that he's a "professional" I guess it's Troy.
football
I hear High Island is down to around 14 players. If this is true, SP might make the playoffs with 0 (on the field) wins. I know that it would take HI folding up entirely and I just don't see that happening.
Cardphan
The numbers at HI may be small but the spirit is strong. HI will play its full season. I have been watching these boys work with their new coaches and the attitude is positive.
1880
Hopefully injury bug doesn't hit the cards anytime soon with that low of numbers
True Blue
I hate saying this but maybe HighIsland should look into playing 6 man ball. I just dont think its right for the other teams in that dist. to loss a game due to HI lossing a few players to injurys and have to pull out. Burkville does not have many games allready this yr, and if HI pulls out late in the year they wont have time to schedule a replacement. endturn hurting both schools.
