PN-G hands down around here.  Also the one year Central played Brenham in the playoffs believes me to think that they may be like that.

I remember that game...  ;D

my son who attends college in the northeast describes the local area to his college buddies as a cross between Friday Night Lights and Swamp people. I Wanted to get mad at first, but then realized it is a pretty good decription.... Gotta love Southeast Texas!!!! ;D

Well if were talking about one game then its a toss up between the Nederland PNG game and the Vidor homecoming. Not one town has compared to the Vidor homecoming if your a Vidor fan then you know what i'm talking about.

But if were talking about all season its a toss up between PNG and Central cuz believe it or not Central is pretty crazy about there football.

PNG = East Texas version of Odessa Permian.
South East Texas version. ;)
I agree,  Carthage, Dangerfield, Arp and a few others in East Texas would be very comparable.

The 70's, 80's 90's Silsbee vs Jasper. Remember back in 1992 when Jasper came to Silsbee to play for the district championship. Kirby Memorial Stadium was so packed, people were walking up with lawn chairs just to sit around the gated area. I would imagine there were at least 9,000 people there. The following year Silsbee went to Jasper and it was same situation. That Alamo was jammed packed from shoulder to shoulder. It was about 55 degrees outside. Silsbee end up losing both games but it was a awesome experience.  You remember these games Aggie?
