Numberoneonly Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Why is it that some parents feel they have the rite to be on the field during practice and pull coaches aside to bs? I guess to make sure little Johnny gets a position.jmo my goodness... ??? ???
no-look Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Probally hurts little Johnny's chances more than helps......
BADSANTA Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 If lil Johnny isn't that good, dad won't get him on the field
BLUEDOVE3 Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Not so! I see more parents more involved with "little Johnny" and bonding with the coaches. Usually its because the kid lacks skill to get more playing time.
SgtRey Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Maybe the parents just want to watch their kids....ever think about that?

BLUEDOVE3 Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 I know parents and seen parents who make sure the coach see them on the side if their kid is not playing. Wearing their "why my kid not playing."
Guest Brubaker Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 don't matter, not one bit, to a good team and a good coach, which most in this area are!!!
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Maybe they wanna learn how to coach?? just a guess lol.
cornhusker Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 After reading about ex coaches milling around on the field during scrimmages why not.

Txdragon Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Right now I watch most of my kids practices and no my kids are not starting. I watch so I can see their strengths and weaknesses so I know what they can work on to get on the field. Plus, I love watching football. I say nothing during practice to them even if they walk by and I say nothing to the coaches during practice. Not my place to interupt them. I even asked the coach if it was Ok for me to be there and got permission. What harm is it? I fully support my boys, their team, and their coach. IF they are never good enough to start so be it as long as they want to play I will be there to support them. That being said I DO have a problem with parents who walk up to talk to their kids during a practice (especially on the field). I think that is very disrespectful to the coaches.

77 Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Watching is great, wait and talk to the coaches after practice unless they approach you.
mfd814 Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 If the coach didn't want the parent there, he wouldn't be. Alot of the area coaches have some of the youth coaches come out to practice so they can show them a few things also.
