godogs Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 who's the best players in these classes?
ESPN Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Good question? Have to think a while! :scratch
BHTrainer Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 i think we are going to struggle with 08-09 in BH b/c they are some real small kids...
SilsbeeD Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 its gonna be hard to find 09 standouts, they would of had to play a pretty good amount has a freshmen
bobcatmom Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 For OF class of 08 look for Jared Helton to be the stand out player. He is a natural his freshman year he was quarterback and now he plays offense. You can put him in just about any position and he will get the job done. Did a good job on Varsity football/basketball this year.
duckbutter Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 08 and 09 will be VERY good years for Newton due to the fact that we will be made of Jrs and Sophs next year. I think there will only be 3 or 4 Srs on next years varsity.
BunaQB Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Our classes of 08 and 09 will be a great year for our football program i'm looking forward to it. We have some pretty good backs.
stang4life Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 WO-S looks pretty good. You have DePauldrick Garrett (#24) who played last year. He's a powerhouse. There were several '08 players who saw playing time on Varsity last year. Plus, it can never hurt to have all of their off-seasons under Coach T!!!
jdawg03 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Look for Jasper to win state in 08 or 09....there is size in those classes comparable to that of our 01-02 and 02-03 teams
DP#1FAN Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 The Deweyville Pirates will have 8 returning starters back on defensive side of the ball and around 7 on offensive side. Varsity should be made up with about 10 Sr. and 12 Jrs. Best of luck to the Pirates.
LRaiser08 Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 The lumberton raiders have three players that led the district in 05 The WR Cody Hussey led the district in Yards receiving. QB Bryce DeJohn was 2nd in the district in 05 with 1100 yds. DE Jonathon Ward was awarded newcomer of the year in 05. You MUST remember that this is one of the TOUGHEST districts in Texas.
L-TOWN baseball Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 doin great...hes moving to runningback next year. in baseball this year he got second team alldistrict as a sophomore which is really good. he should do awesome this year at runningback
KFDM COOP Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I've heard nothing but good things about him myself.
Matt Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 The lumberton raiders have three players that led the district in 05 The WR Cody Hussey led the district in Yards receiving. QB Bryce DeJohn was 2nd in the district in 05 with 1100 yds. DE Jonathon Ward was awarded newcomer of the year in 05. You MUST remember that this is one of the TOUGHEST districts in Texas. How does your running game and defense compare, you have big passing yards, big whoop, you throw the ball 75% of the time, you should be leading district in passing & receiving Until lumberton learns how to play defense and run the ball, they will continue there tradition, of losing games
ballcoach Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Liberty will have a DI player in Josh White, brother of NFL/Canadian Star Reggie White. Josh played 12 games as a freshman and 10 games last year as a soph. He was an unanimous pick for 1st team LBer in 233a. He is a great kid and has been the Team Leader for over a year now.
scroungy Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Buna's 08-09 team will be solid at quarterback with Justin Carrell. He is fast and has as arm he just needs to work on his accuracy and he'll do fine. They have some size on the line but not much and i don't know about how physical they are either. They also have speed in the backfield in Ryan Sheppherd and Brian Holmes. They are not very big but if they'll hit the hole and can work the passing game they'll do alright. On defense they have a good line but they'll be playing both ways so they're going to have to get in shape. Dillon Moss and Kris Dotson are big but have to stay low. Garret McDaniels is also a great defensive end and can make some plays. Blanton Craft is also one to look out for he's fast and strong for a little guy although i'm not sure exactly what position he will play.
whsalum Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Lord lets get 06/07 started before we start talking about 08/09.I hope Buna doesnt think the move down will make their route easier. The only way to get better is hard work and we will know who did that before the first of September 06.Good luck to the coogs lord knows they played in a brutal district last year.
godogs Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 nederland has 2 future stars in class 08' in chris gutierrez(FB 2nd team all-distict 5'9 225)) and dravannti johnson(newcomer of the year)(who will receive an offer from UTEP in Sept. and is now 6'2 215 with a 4.68 40 time!) these 2 can only and will only get better and better
