LC-M got the ball first and went 3 and out.  Silsbee then went 75 yds on 7 plays, capped off by a Turk 26 yd run. PAT was blocked.  With 4:24 left in the 1st, Silsbee leads this game conditions scrimmage 6-0.

LC-M responds with a 3 play drive highlighted by a Sezar 64 yd TD run.  PAT good. 

LC-M 7, Silsbee 6 with 2:30 left in the 1st period.

1st period ended with LC-M leading Silsbee 7-6. 

Same score now with 7:41 left in the 2nd period.

At the end of the 2nd period, LC-M leads 7-6.  Late in the 2nd, Silsbee drove to the LC-M 35 but turned the ball over on downs.

Both teams are able to move the ball but since the 1st have not been able to punch it in.

LC-M just drove 62 yds on 9 plays, capped by an 18 yd run. PAT good.

With 3:35 left in the 3rd period, LC-M 14, Silsbee 6.

The Silsbee guys were spot on about Silsbees OL. They are big and trim. LCM has had 2 scrimmages that will really help them. Both WOS and Silsbee are very athletic,quick and fast. Silsbee has more size, I would love to watch them play if i could. For fans of those 2 teams that is going to be a great match up. The Bears have got after 2 really athletic teams. And to be fair LCM blocked an extra point and the kicking game was supposed to be dead.So it ended 2 TDs to 2 TDs.

The play before Silsbees last TD run was 3rd and long and the pass hit the Tiger receiver in the head before a Bear hit him and the ref  called it pass interference!! ;D I guess he wanted practice throwing his flag.

It was descent scrimmage for both teams. Both defenses gave up a couple of big plays but for the most part played well. Both offenses still need work on the passing game but all in all looked good.

Silsbee just needs to give those two soph. (QB & RB) time to get some experience and they will be fine behind that very good O-line. Silsbee's secondary still needs work but it was poor tackling by the front 7 that actually cost the Tigers the two scores.



On a sad note, PAM transfer Devonte Thomas is lost for the season with a knee injury that he suffered last week in the Kirbyville scrimmage. It was originally thought to be not serious but after getting an MRI it revealed a more serious injury that will keep him out for 3 months. Thomas was the starting defensive end that really looked promising. He is expected back by district play in basketball.

LCM freshmen looked really good!! Ran and threw the ball very well. Scored several times. And played very good on the defensive side as well!

To be very blunt, LCM and every other 9th grade will do well against Silsbee's 9th. ;) :(

To be blunt I agree! ;) But that didn't have everything to do with how LCM looked. You can see the athletes and the technique, effort and discipline in playing their assignments regardless of the other teams ability!

Is there an Albatross in the Silsbee system? I don't remember Silsbee's 8th grade being that bad last year... :-\

The Tiger receiver was pushed before the ball got to him (that's why the ball hit him in the head and not in the hands) then the Bear hit him. That's why the ref threw the flag for interference.  ;)

Gas, you know of this particular group as well as I do. ::)

They won 1 game total in their 7th and 8th grade years.
