ChampionEagles Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Coach Thompson said Newton stayed with Coldspring the first 30 plays, but then the wheels came off and Coldspring dominated Newton for the remainder of the scrimmage. Don't know anything about how many scores for each.

ChampionEagles Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Coach "Paw Paw" Thompson also told my wife he had been teaching 48 years after congratulating her on getting her 35 year pin. That's lots and lots of football! He scared the crap out of me when he coached me in '68 and after! I don't think back then ANYONE would have called him "Paw Paw"! :D

Barbay in the mid-80s.....those were good memories....purple pride was brain washed into you..lol :D ;D
