I like what coach thompson is trying to do with his mustangs.The part i like is that wo-s can run both at any given time and that i like and drives the other coaches nuts. After talking one of the players parents ,he said the kids love it so i will stick with the kids.The big problem the mustangs face this friday with Nederland is that the mustangs have some key players hurt and playing agenst a large team is not new to the coaching staff are the kids there at wo-s dont you agree.ok now  for the winner of this game is wo-s by 3 points. PS sorry for the spelling before you jump on me

Somebody's parent lied to you because I know for a fact most of the kids hate the I. They might like the pistol, but just like most fans, they wish to throw the I out.

I don't know what the injury situation is at WOS totally, but if we are all healthy, WOS does have good size between the tackles. As for the person who was doubting WOS speed, well, that's just humorous... ;) ;D

Well i'll just let the 2 40+ yard TD's speak for itself  ::)  ;D

Vidor you just need to be worrying about getting that garbage defense together. Somebody spot you 17 points and run a ball control offense and come back to beat you shows that nothing has changed there. You all need to only be concerned with not coming in last in 20-4a not with WO-s.

Just curious and trying to piece this together.  Did Nederland's size out weigh the speed of Dayton?  It appears that it did not.  So, are you saying, then, that WOS does not possess the speed of Dayton?

Actually I think that Nederlands size will out weigh the speed of WOS this time but I could be wrong I was last season. I also believe this could be the best coaching that WOS will face this season, which brought out the coaching comment.

They don't posses the talent of Dayton or they wouldn't of lost 28-0 last year.

Really??? You DO realize that it was a SCRIMMAGE, right? We turned around in the first game and beat Ned 40-19... WOS does not "prepare" for a scrimmage. We did for Nederland... ;)

the best returning D (from last yr) in the area at Ned. [/quote]

WOS had 8 return from a defense that had 5 shut outs and gave up less than a TD a game... I think your statemet is a little off.

I'm not saying WOS's D is no good, that's one reason I said earlier that neither team will score in the 30's. I predicted a low scoring game, b/c WOS has a new coach AND offense, and Nederland is suppose to have their best defense in years, and maybe ever! So yes, they may have the best D in the area. So my statement is not a fact actually, it's my Opinion, and everyone on here has one.

Nederland and WOS have played each-other in the the first game of the year, for a while.  I think WOS  has a winning streak going at this time.  I should keep this to myself but I think the difference has been "CONDITIONING".

There's been a lot of talk about WOS possibly struggling with a new offense.  Let's look at Nederland's offense.  True, it's not new to the coaches, but I don't think many, if any, of these kids have ran the "old" offense.  So, with only, I think, 3 returning starters and a different, new so to speak, offense, how will this affect them against WOS?

First off you did not spot us 17 points. We earned those points by out running and out beating your defense all over the field. And yall only scored 3 more points on our "trash" defense than we did on yours. How does that make your defense look?

Yes we did lose. I'm not disputing that. But we did out run your defense. That was my point.

Whether you earned it or whatever you want to call it, you still had a 17 point lead and couldn't hold it. Again, your defense has always been garbage. Which is why your battling for last every year. Line Vidor up against WO-s and I bet your running back or most of your other players can't beat most of the WO-s players in a race. He benefited from good blocking.

Barring any injuries this year Nederland is my surprize team this year.That's a pretty cool pic since they've been young and banged up recently and made a playoff bid.Think they've got the talent/chemistry to gel into a real good team.Now they gotta find a kicker w/some acuracy ;)

    • I like option number two, PNG and Nederland both win. Nederland i’ll be the district champion, number 1 seed or whatever you want to call it. Yes I know that if two or three teams tie with the same record, they will be called co-champions and everyone gets a trophy. One team however will go in as the first place team in district and will play the fourth place team in the bi-district round. If PNG and Nederland both win, Nederland will be #1. • Virginia has same day voter registration. A person can literally walk in to the voting location, register and then vote. So the premise that Virginia might be stopping people with a legitimate right to vote is nonsense. From what I gather in the news report, assuming that the ones I have read are correct, the people that were removed, filled out a drivers license registration and marked that they were not an American citizen. Could the person have made a mistake bychecking the box incorrectly? Although unlikely it is certainly possible. That same person who was removed can go into the same voting location where he would have voted and again, complete a voter registration and then vote.  That went into the Supreme Court’s decision.  If such a person votes by registering on election day, he fills out a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not originally counted and or not counted unless needed. For example….  Statewide there are 500 provisional ballots cast. A person wins the election by 4,000 votes. That would be no need to count the provisional ballots as it will not matter. Then let’s say there are 5,000 provisional ballots cast in the election. One candidate then wins the election by only 1,500 votes. In that case, the election could definitely swing on those provisional ballots. The state will then investigate each person to make sure they live at the correct address listed and that they are American citizens. If these things are correct, the vote will then be counted. Safe Harbor is not untillll…… I think December 17th this year so there will be six weeks to verify the provisional ballots if needed. The purging of the names of people who checked a state form saying that they were not an American citizen, will not stop that same person from voting.
