One 6'7" or so sat out last season for residency reasons and another one is a frosh. Yates has a very good communications program

BLUEDOVE3 Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Funny! There is a 6'7" kid :-X who lives 8-9 blocks from Jack Yates High. His AAU team sends players to Yates. His mom :-X was an All-American/played pro ball overseas, and his paternal grandfather :-X was an All-American basketball (I think) player in college. This kid does not attend Yates. :P

stevenash Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Dove- In reading all of your posts on the "other" board, it would appear that your are supportive of a system that makes things "more fair" - allowing the poor to have more by taking from the rich- If that is the case, you should be very opposed to any system that allows the good players (the rich) to all gather at a few schools at the expense of the other schools. In fact, shouldn't you be supporting a system that makes the players at a school like Yates(the rich) split up and be divided among the other "less fortunate" schools in order to level the playing field?

As for social beliefs vs athletic beliefs, I was thinking both would fall under a single value system/belief.
